Christmas in January?

Good day! After weeks of no play, I found it really difficult to get my mojo on! I think I spent more time wandering than playing! I started with a challenge from Stamping411 #184

My color inspiration came from the The Color Throwdown #123...put my head down and got to work!
So here is the card that I created....a Christmas card in January, this is definitely a first for me, I've never created a Christmas card at the beginning of the year.

the little ornaments are the punch outs from the border and then I applied Crystal Effects to them, after I adhered them, I wish I had just left the banner clean...too late....that's on there!

I also applied Crystal Effects to each of the ornaments on my DP. I really liked the effect, I'll definitely be keeping that in mind, just really adds a subtle punch to the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a great day today in whatever you do!

  2. Oh I think this really cute. I like the whimsical feel of the DP. Great idea to put Crystal Effects on the ornaments. The Swiss Dot ef is a nice touch for the background. It's good to see you back in action.

  3. I think my mojo is in hibernation also. I am thrilled that you have a head start on your Christmas cards for 2011! I was just looking at this paper yesterday, which I hardly used, and wondering what I could do with it---make a BATCH of cards, I am thinking! Maybe when my mojo returns. I love the CE on your card---it does really bring out the ornaments!

  4. VEry cute. I like the ornament paper. I get an early start on my holiday cards too. Last year I started in January and made one card every week for the year. I actually had more than I needed so I'm waiting until February to start this year.
