Happy Mother's Day!

Image
I found a new challenge over at Joan's Garden ...what a great start for my mother's day cards...and yes, I've cut this one pretty close...came home from a fabulous dinner with our kids and grandsons and got my two cards completed for today! They are very similar...is that cheating for Mother's Day? So here's my Mother's Day cards ~ My vellum flower was inked up with Real Red and my faithful sponge...I love sponging! Cut my border using my Martha Steward border punch and then flipped it to create the same effect on the other side of my black CS. Boho Blossom Punch was used for the inside of my flower (oh I love the punch) ~ my fancy flourish was purchased at Joan's Garden ! I then embossed my card front using  Lacy Brocade and stamped my sentiment with Well Scripted! I'm not sure if your card stash is like mine..but when I need a 'thinking of you' or 'get well' card....well, there is none to be had! Oh dear, I guess the housework/laundry/gardening etc. will have to wait ~ 'cause I need to go create! What a fabulous early morning of creating I had! I found two fabulous challenges to use as my starting place ~ thanks all, for these wonderful challenges that you bring our way each week.  Today I played with the sketch from JUGS#187 & the color challenge from crazy4challenges ....oh do pop in on these challenges and join in the fun...there is still time to play! I really enjoyed these colours and then along with the sketch, I think it came together quite nicely! although I'm not to sure about the two different colored ribbons ~ I thought of changing it..but those polka dots on the pink ribbon!!! How could I exchange that ~ so I decided to go with it! I went with my Labels Collection Die for the centre shapes (...

I came across a challenge and I just loved what I saw! Pop in on the Paper Craft Crew , you'll really enjoy what you find here! When I saw the sketch, I thought I could use my new Framelits Die ~ and the colour combo was perfect for what I had in mind... so my starting point was my dress! Here's the challenge that was set before me  What a fun card to create ~ oh I had an absolute blast with some of my new toys..this Framelits Die is a must, as well as the 5/8" Flower Trim ~ I trimmed one of the rosettes off my stash, inked it up on my Daffodil Delight ink pad using a sponge dauber! Set it aside and created the rest of the card! I can't wait to play with this die again ~ I think I'll use some actual fabric next time ~ Here's a bit of a side shot of my card! Thanks so much for popping by today ~ I hope you enjoyed your little visit ~ be sure to come again! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to drop me a line ~ en...
