Hello friends and welcome here ~ I'm so excited to share this card that I created using the new Irresistible Blooms Suite ~ I love this Suite so much and enjoyed creating with it! The wonderful sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was SO perfect for my card!!! And my card also works with the challenge at Global Design Project ~ Theme Spring!!! Perfect for my card I also used the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and so I jumped in on this great challenge at Inkspirational Challenge ~ so here we go ... three challenges in one   Here is my card...now I have made several of these as I just LOVE everything about this card and this Irresistible Blooms Suite is STUNNING ~ this is a keeper in my studio! I actually forgot to take a picture of my card before I sent it off, so this one might look a little different...now this card is actually the second card I created during my Facebook/YouTube live ..... And here is the first card I created during my live! Please come and join me in my studio as I cre...

STB, FMS & IN(K)SPIRE me

Image
I needed a new Birthday card pronto, so I got to work this morning, found some challenges that I wanted to join and had a blast playing along! Seize The Birthday (Anything Goes), Freshly Made Sketches and a wonderful color challenge at IN(K)SPIRE me , is where my inspiration was birthed! there is still time to play, so why don't you join in the fun! Here's my birthday card ~ I actually don't own Blackberry Bliss or Lost Lagoon (shocking, I know), so I used rick Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay ~ hope that's okay! I think I went to little too stamp crazy on my Sahara Sand CS, now that it's complete, I'm wishing I would have stamped a little less with my colors ~ I know my brother will love this though! thanks so much for popping by ~ have a wonderful day! If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a party I would love to come and stamp with you and your friends!! Or, if space is an issue, come here and creat...

FMS88 & PP148

Our Little Lucas was being Dedicated today at church! Grand babies are such a blessing from the Lord. The sketch I found at Freshly Made was perfect for my card. And my card also went along with the challenge at Paper Players ...although I wasn't creating an actually Summer Holidays card, this card definetely depicts what we love to do as a family ..... camping and beaching! I really didn't have anything that is actually for a Sunday Dedication Service, but a little boy playing in the sand is totally what my little guys love to do, and I really don't think Lucas will be any different when he gets a little older, so this was actually perfect for my card for him As you can see, I flipped the card sketch and opted for my embossing folder to show the long vertical focal point of the sketch. I'm really pleased with my card...but IRL....it looks So much nicer! Now if we could just get some nice hot June weather that we're all used to ha...

Freshly Made & ColourQ#154

Image
I really seem to be having a hard time getting into the fall groove...must be the summer like temperatures that we're having ~ 25C on Friday (77F) ~ so needless to say, the pool is still open and we'll be celebrating Angela & Kevin's Birthday's with a pool/BBQ Bash! But I did get some stampin in last night...my DH is so sweet, he came downstairs and watched his shows while I created, he said "I just want to be near you"...I'm blessed... So the two challenges that I entered are... Freshly Made (love this blog) ~ the challenge was an Anniversary Celebration, and here is the sketch that I chose to use, but I flipped it on it's side & the Colour Q # 154 ! Now if you've never played along with these challenges or it's been awhile...jump over and have a peek!!!! Join in the fun ~ I had a blast!!!   My card is another Triple Time Stamping Technique....I'm in LOVE with this Technique and  just needed to create another and whe...

Dynamic Duos #18 & FMS #50

Image
What a Dynamic Duo...literally...and I actually stamped, played, and sang in my room today, I was constantly being pulled outside to play in my garden and my knitting needles were also calling me ~ oh...but my POOR neglected stamps and toys won the day...I had a blast!!! So here is the fabulous sketch from Freshly Made that I followed...and incidentally...there is still time to play, so run and have some fun!!! And then I followed the color challenge over at Dynamic Duos ... and yes, I'm using a Red shade once again, which I seem to run from, I'm pleased with the out come of this card ~ it does look sweeter IRL ~ once I got going on this card, I realized that I actually don't own Poppy Parade Stamp Pad, so I improvised by using Ruby Red, but my CS is Poppy Parade ~ so here's my card...and I also really wanted to try Triple Time Stamping...and I LOVE this Technique! So did you notice...my En Francais is upside down!!! RMS ~ rusty mojo syndrome! ...

Olympics for the Friday Mashup & Freshly Made!

Image
I hope this finds you all well and enjoying your summer ~ it's been blistering hot here in Winnipeg, which is actually very normal for us during summer!!! Love it and love the fact that we are blessed with a wonderful pool, so the heat is welcome in our neighbourhood! Splish Splash!!! I did take a break from the heat today and ventured into another one of my 'happy places' I needed to create a birthday card for our grandson Seth...and I can't believe he's going to be turning 12 on the 19th of July!!! Seth is a wonderful young man, he has such a tender heart and a fabulous sense of humour! Love you Seth xo ~ Here's a shot of our son teaching Seth how to tie a tie and little brother Owen watching and learning as well! If find it difficult to create masculine cards and even more so for a young man....but what a fabulous challenge over at The Friday Mashup ~ this was my starting point and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this,   I then fol...

PP#78 & Freshly Made for Dean!

Image
I had so much fun creating this card for Dean's birthday....I know...it doesn't have a hint of masculinity on it....but I still like it...just not too sure what Dean will think...but I do know that he adores me, so if anything, we'll have a good laugh about it. So here is how this all came about ~ I have really neglected my card creating lately, just been having so much fun knitting...here's a peek at some of my projects....and my pictures really didn't turn out so great...these projects really look amazing IRL! This is a ladies cable knit cap and below is a matching (well, the yarn) child's cap A child's Snowborder hat ~ super warm and cozy...I made two of these, one for Austin (1.5 yrs old) and one for Owen (3 months) This cable headband  was inspired by one that can be purchased at  Abercrombie & Fitch! This is so warm and cozy as well!  I hope you enjoyed my other creative obsession!   and so, Dean is out of town, and it's a perfec...
