This will more than likely be my last post of the year ~ unless I pop in a few pictures during our stay at Banff as we celebrate Christmas with our children and my sister ~ Thanks to everyone who has made my first few months of 'blogging' a wonderful experience! May you know the blessing of His wonderful presence in all you do this Christmas Season! Just a quick photo of my greenhouse in the winter ~ graced with kisses of frost on everything! Our Lord truly is an artist! If you take a peek at an older post, you will witness my garden in the summer! Thanks for stopping by and may you be blessed with His wonderful presence this Christmas Season! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Challenges & Challenges

Image
What a wonderful week before Christmas that we have had here at home! All of the family together, chatting about our up and coming trip, early Christmas with my parents...all the while working on a birthday card for our son...so here is the challenge from Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge 182 As soon as I saw this, I knew I would created his card with this in mind ~ and then ~ I saw the color challenge from Stacey's Stamping Stage   and the  Curtain Call Color Challenge: {ACT 61} So here is my card for our son's 29th birthday I was having real issues with saving my cropped picture, not sure why I was unable to import my edited version, so sorry for the 'bad' picture....and now this morning it worked, so I actually changed my original snap of this card! Thank you so much for stopping by during this busy season of celebration! This will more than likely be my last post of the year ~ have a wonderful and blessed Christmas Season! And all the best in the New

Inkspirations Christmas Gift Blog Tour

Image
Welcome to Inkspirations Christmas Gift Blog Tour !!!  I'm sure you're overflowing with great Christmas gift ideas now ~ These gals are so talented and I count it such a privilege to be apart of this tour ~ I'm sure you enjoyed your time with  Gardenia ...isn't she amazing! I hope you have a great visit with me and feel inspired as you take a peek at just a few creations that I've been busy with!  I created this gift box for a dear friend ~ I had a personalized mug painted for her and this was the perfect way to wrap it up ~  I had so much fun creating this gift box ~ now it's wrapped up and ready to be gifted! Here are a few snaps of her Gift Tag ~ I found this on Tammy White's blog and knew I needed to create this to go along with my Gift Box! I pulled the ornament up toward the knot of my ribbon..... ...Then back down toward my Gift Tag, that has now become a Star! Isn't that adorable! My last creation that I'd like to

Color Throwdown #122

Image
It was so much fun joining in the challenge from  Color Throwdown  today ~ I've been so busy with Christmas prep, caring for my in-laws who have been quite ill for the past few days and just keeping up with daily needs ~ my DH was home sick today, I wasn't 100%, but well enough to play along, so this consumed my day and I had a blast! So when I grabbed my colors I couldn't believe that I don't own Pear Pizzazz in Write Marker or Stamp Pad, so I improvised the coloring of my holly leaves with Wild Wasabi ~ sure hope that's okay! My little jewellery tags were punched with Pear Pizzazz and stamped using Riding Hood Red. The ornament was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed with Iridescent Ice EP, it looks amazing IRL, but I'm not totally pleased with the out come of the card....I feel like there's something missing ~ not sure what that is....any idea's, I'd love to hear them! Here's a quick peek of the inside of the card Thank you so muc

Christmas Gathering With My Girls

Image
Well I'm ready for our Christmas Gathering! The table is set, the gift boxes are stuffed, the Wassail is simmering, the music is playing, the candles are lit ~ I just need to hear the bells at the front door and the festivities will begin! Here's a picture of the table scattered with their thank you gifts! Too bad it turned out a bit blurry! My Christmas dishes are so much fun ~  I love serving with them and can't wait to bless my friends this evening!  Little 'Cake boxes' that I create and tucked little gifts in them for my girls to enjoy!  I also created little Luminaries for each of the girls to take home and warm up a cozy corner with them! They look absolutely stunning ~ I can't wait to share them with the girls! Thanks for stopping by today ~ I hope you enjoyed your visit ~ Have a wonderful day! Jesus is the Reason For the Season!

Jesus Is The Reason

I love to watch this again & again ~ I'm sure many of you have already seen this, but may you be blessed once again as you go about your day. Just select His Name,  Jesus , He truly is the King of kings and the only reason for the season!  May you have a blessed day today and thanks for stopping by!

Tea Light Luminaries for Paper Players

Image
I love embossing...so of course I had to play along with the Paper Players challenge! I made little Tea Light holders (battery operated ones that is). I did use Dasher just on the CS...I actually used an office store CS ~ it's not as heavy as Whisper White and therefore the light shines through it a little more ~ let me know your thoughts! I actually shut the lights off in my photo box to take this one ~ you can see the tea light effect a bit better than with the lights on! These were easy and fun to create! Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit ~ have a wonderful day! Stamps:  Dasher, Bells And Boughs Paper:  Real Red, White (non SU)  Ink:   Versa Mark Acc:  Gold EP, Oval Scallop Punch, Snips, Ribbon, SF Die Cut & Border Punches (non SU) All Supplies Stampin’ Up Unless Noted!

Stamping 411 Challenge

Image
Sketch Challenge #179 from Stamping 411 is absolutely fabulous ~ you should really play along with the designers! I had a blast this afternoon ~ I really needed a break from Christmas Cards, so I rolled up my sleeves, got the music going.....and got to work! I used Dimensionals to pop each of the panels on my card and heat embossed each with a copper EP, it's really difficult to see the effect, but IRL it's quite stunning! On the inside I stamped tone on tone, using Elements of Style and then stamped my Sentiment over it using Close To Cocoa. I received a beautiful card in the mail this week and LeAnne had done this on the inside of my card, wow, what a beautiful effect....so....note to self.....remember this and do it! It's really hard to see in the picture, but the outcome is wonderful! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a blessed day and I hope you drop by again! Stamps:  Elements of Style, Wonderful Words, Occasional Quotes Paper:   Crumb Cak

I Got Mail!

Image
Well I'm still smiling....I received a card in the mail today from a friend that I met through the wonderful world of blogging! It's amazing the connections that you make when you chat every now and then ~ and also when you pray for each other. My friend is LeAnne and I know if we lived closer, we would share stampin', grandbabies and even a Starbucks every now and then! Thanks again LeAnne, oh how you have blessed my day! So here's a peek... drum roll please..................and now the card! I think the picture turned out okay, but IRL ~ amazing ~ so LeAnne, thanks again...and if it's okay, I would love to CASE this! Thanks for stopping by today and may you have a blessed day!

Paper Players Challenge #25

Image
When I saw the sketch from  Paper Players  this week, I knew I wanted to play along, and I knew what I wanted to do ~ so out with my Never Been Used Brayer ~ I decided it was time! I really need to keep working on this Technique. I think it's one of those that take time to master. Michelle Zindorf  is amazing ~ how does she do it ~ so here's my first attempt ~ I'm not really pleased with the brayering (is that a word?) on this card, but ~ once perfected!!!!....I'll keep trying! After I finished the card, I realized that I wasn't as close to the sketch as I thought ~ sorry girls ~ I hope that's okay?..... And now, if you'll allow me ~ I'd love to throw in a picture of our youngest grandson ~ he's three week's old tomorrow and just so sweet and a wonderful new blessing in our family! Thank you so much for stopping by today ~ enjoy your day! Stamps:  Inspired By Nature, Teeny Tiny Wishes Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze
