Merry Christmas to all

This will more than likely be my last post of the year ~ unless I pop in a few pictures during our stay at Banff as we celebrate Christmas with our children and my sister ~ Thanks to everyone who has made my first few months of 'blogging' a wonderful experience! May you know the blessing of His wonderful presence in all you do this Christmas Season!

Just a quick photo of my greenhouse in the winter ~ graced with kisses of frost on everything!
Our Lord truly is an artist!

If you take a peek at an older post, you will witness my garden in the summer!
Thanks for stopping by and may you be blessed with His wonderful presence this Christmas Season!

Challenges & Challenges

What a wonderful week before Christmas that we have had here at home! All of the family together, chatting about our up and coming trip, early Christmas with my parents...all the while working on a birthday card for our here is the challenge from Stamping 411

Saturday Sketch Challenge 182

As soon as I saw this, I knew I would created his card with this in mind ~ and then ~ I saw the color challenge from Stacey's Stamping Stage and the
Curtain Call Color Challenge: {ACT 61}

So here is my card for our son's 29th birthday

I was having real issues with saving my cropped picture, not sure why I was unable to import my edited version, so sorry for the 'bad' picture....and now this morning it worked, so I actually changed my original snap of this card!

Thank you so much for stopping by during this busy season of celebration! This will more than likely be my last post of the year ~ have a wonderful and blessed Christmas Season!
And all the best in the New Year!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Inkspirations Christmas Gift Blog Tour

I'm sure you're overflowing with great Christmas gift ideas now ~ These gals are so talented and I count it such a privilege to be apart of this tour ~ I'm sure you enjoyed your time with Gardenia...isn't she amazing! I hope you have a great visit with me and feel inspired as you take a peek at just a few creations that I've been busy with!

I created this gift box for a dear friend ~ I had a personalized mug painted for her and this was the perfect way to wrap it up ~

I had so much fun creating this gift box ~
now it's wrapped up and ready to be gifted!

Here are a few snaps of her Gift Tag ~ I found this on Tammy White's blog and knew I needed to create this to go along with my Gift Box!

I pulled the ornament up toward the knot of my ribbon.....

...Then back down toward my Gift Tag, that has now become a Star!

Isn't that adorable!

My last creation that I'd like to share with you are Gift Card Holders. I absolutely love to shop for Christmas gifts for our children, their spouses and our grandsons....but this year will be completely different...we are heading to the slopes of Lake Louise ~ we are all so excited about our new Christmas adventure ~ we all agreed that Gift Cards from Ikea & H&M were the perfect gift. We don't have either of these stores in Winnipeg, so here is what I have created to hold each of their Gift Cards!

I scored my CS and placed it on the die in order to create a double folded tag...
the perfect place to slip their gift cards into!

And now your off to visit with Nicole...I know you'll find even more inspiring ideas as you wrap up the last of your Christmas gifting! Have an incredidble time visiting the rest of these amazingly talented gals, be sure to hit each blog, you don't want to miss anyone!
~ I hope you enjoyed your visit with me and would love to see you back in the New Year! If you have any questions, please be sure to let me know, I'd love to help you out! May you have a wonderful Christmas as you celebrate with family & friends ~ Blessings to you and yours!

Color Throwdown #122

It was so much fun joining in the challenge from Color Throwdown today ~ I've been so busy with Christmas prep, caring for my in-laws who have been quite ill for the past few days and just keeping up with daily needs ~ my DH was home sick today, I wasn't 100%, but well enough to play along, so this consumed my day and I had a blast!

So when I grabbed my colors I couldn't believe that I don't own Pear Pizzazz in Write Marker or Stamp Pad, so I improvised the coloring of my holly leaves with Wild Wasabi ~ sure hope that's okay! My little jewellery tags were punched with Pear Pizzazz and stamped using Riding Hood Red.

The ornament was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed with Iridescent Ice EP, it looks amazing IRL, but I'm not totally pleased with the out come of the card....I feel like there's something missing ~ not sure what that is....any idea's, I'd love to hear them!
Here's a quick peek of the inside of the card

Thank you so much for visiting today ~ I hope you enjoyed your stay ~ I'd love to hear your thoughts ~
Have a wonderful day and I hope you feel blessed as you prepare to celebrate Christmas with family & friends ~ :-)

Christmas Gathering With My Girls

Well I'm ready for our Christmas Gathering! The table is set, the gift boxes are stuffed, the Wassail is simmering, the music is playing, the candles are lit ~ I just need to hear the bells at the front door and the festivities will begin! Here's a picture of the table scattered with their thank you gifts! Too bad it turned out a bit blurry!

My Christmas dishes are so much fun ~
I love serving with them and can't wait to bless my friends this evening!
Little 'Cake boxes' that I create and tucked little gifts in them for my girls to enjoy!

I also created little Luminaries for each of the girls to take home and warm up a cozy corner with them! They look absolutely stunning ~ I can't wait to share them with the girls!

Thanks for stopping by today ~ I hope you enjoyed your visit ~ Have a wonderful day!

Jesus Is The Reason

I love to watch this again & again ~ I'm sure many of you have already seen this, but may you be blessed once again as you go about your day. Just select His Name, Jesus, He truly is the King of kings and the only reason for the season!  May you have a blessed day today and thanks for stopping by!

Tea Light Luminaries for Paper Players

I love of course I had to play along with the Paper Players challenge! I made little Tea Light holders (battery operated ones that is).

I did use Dasher just on the CS...I actually used an office store CS ~ it's not as heavy as Whisper White and therefore the light shines through it a little more ~ let me know your thoughts!

I actually shut the lights off in my photo box to take this one ~ you can see the tea light effect a bit better than with the lights on! These were easy and fun to create!
Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit ~ have a wonderful day!

  • Stamps:  Dasher, Bells And Boughs
  • Paper:  Real Red, White (non SU)
  • Ink:   Versa Mark
  • Acc:  Gold EP, Oval Scallop Punch, Snips, Ribbon, SF Die Cut & Border Punches (non SU)

Stamping 411 Challenge

Sketch Challenge #179 from Stamping 411 is absolutely fabulous ~ you should really play along with the designers! I had a blast this afternoon ~ I really needed a break from Christmas Cards, so I rolled up my sleeves, got the music going.....and got to work!

I used Dimensionals to pop each of the panels on my card and heat embossed each with a copper EP, it's really difficult to see the effect, but IRL it's quite stunning!

On the inside I stamped tone on tone, using Elements of Style and then stamped my Sentiment over it using Close To Cocoa. I received a beautiful card in the mail this week and LeAnne had done this on the inside of my card, wow, what a beautiful to self.....remember this and do it! It's really hard to see in the picture, but the outcome is wonderful!

Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a blessed day and I hope you drop by again!

  • Stamps:  Elements of Style, Wonderful Words, Occasional Quotes
  • Paper:   Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Whisper White
  • Ink:   Versa Mark,Crumb Cake, Close To Cocoa

I Got Mail!

Well I'm still smiling....I received a card in the mail today from a friend that I met through the wonderful world of blogging! It's amazing the connections that you make when you chat every now and then ~ and also when you pray for each other. My friend is LeAnne and I know if we lived closer, we would share stampin', grandbabies and even a Starbucks every now and then! Thanks again LeAnne, oh how you have blessed my day! So here's a peek...

drum roll please..................and now the card!

I think the picture turned out okay, but IRL ~ amazing ~
so LeAnne, thanks again...and if it's okay, I would love to CASE this!

Thanks for stopping by today and may you have a blessed day!

Paper Players Challenge #25

When I saw the sketch from Paper Players this week, I knew I wanted to play along, and I knew what I wanted to do ~ so out with my Never Been Used Brayer ~ I decided it was time! I really need to keep working on this Technique. I think it's one of those that take time to master. Michelle Zindorf  is amazing ~ how does she do it ~ so here's my first attempt ~ I'm not really pleased with the brayering (is that a word?) on this card, but ~ once perfected!!!!....I'll keep trying!

After I finished the card, I realized that I wasn't as close to the sketch as I thought ~ sorry girls ~ I hope that's okay?.....

And now, if you'll allow me ~ I'd love to throw in a picture of our youngest grandson ~ he's three week's old tomorrow and just so sweet and a wonderful new blessing in our family!

Thank you so much for stopping by today ~ enjoy your day!

Have You Heard

There is another great special happening at Stampin' Up for 9 days only!
Check it out here and see what all the fuss is about!

And while you're in my store ~ don't forget about the great savings when you sign up and join my team ~ This expires on November 30 ~ so there isn't much time left
Here are a few frequently asked questions, I'm sure you've had a few yourself, so have a peek for the answers

  • Q - Once I decide to buy the Starter Kit, what do I need to do next?
A - Basically nothing once you fill out the Independent Demonstrator Agreement, complete the order form, and arrange for payment.
  • Q - What if I don't like what's in the Starter Kit, or some of the items are items I already have?
A - The Starter Kit is about 80% customizable, so you can select items within a specific price group that work for you and your personal stamping style.  And that includes merchandise from the current Mini catalogs.
  • Is the Starter Kit special only good on the original Starter Kit?
A - No, it is also available for the Digital + Starter Kit.  My Digital Studio is a digital paper crafting  tool that provides you with the software to create cards, scrap book pages, movies and multi-media presentations using your photos and Stampin' Up!'s images, Designer Series Papers, Color Collections, and embellishments all in digital form.  It's available for both Mac and PC.
  • Q - Is there only one type of Stampin' Up! Demonstrator?
A - Actually there are two different types of Demonstrators.  A Hobby Demonstrator is just interested in joining for the discounts and perks.  The Career Demonstrator is interested in pursuing the demonstratorship as a source of additional income.  Whether that be just to pay for your stamping addiction, or to provide additional income for other expenses such as ...well, you name it!  You decide which demonstrator role works for you.
  • Q - How long do I have to decide if it's right for me?
A - You have until March 31, 2011 to meet the minimum quarterly sales requirement.  At that point you're either in or you're not.  There will be no Starter Kit Police at your door.
  • Q - Speaking of minimum sales requirement, how much is that?
A - During the course of three months you must purchase $425 in Stampin' Up! Merchandise.  I like to explain it this way.  There are 52 weeks in the year.  That means there are 14 weeks per quarter.  Therefore you have to commit to purchase $30 worth of Stampin' Up! merchandise a week.  But that's the full price.  As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator you get 20% off, so really you are only spending $24 a week plus sales tax and shipping.  My recommendation to hobby demonstrators is to tuck that money away and place two $212 orders.  This qualifies you for FREE merchandise.  Talk about The Price Is Right!  If this all sounds confusing, I'd be happy to chat with you about it.  Again - no OBLIGATION!
  • Q - If I decide not to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, do I have to return the Starter Kit?
    A - No!
  • Q - Are there any other specials for new demonstrators?
A - During the first 45 days you will receive an extra 10% discount off your first $200 order.  So you'll actually be spending even less than $24 per week for that first quarter. So that means you’ll earn up to 30 percent on your first order!
  • Q - How many workshops must I conduct per month?
    A - None!
  • Q - How many demonstrators must I sign up annually?
    A - None!
  • What other perks do I receive as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator?
A - You receive advance notice of all specials.  You receive all catalogs and Mini catalogs a month in advance.  You receive the opportunity to purchase a limited number of Hostess Sets.  You qualify for all Hostess benefits providing you meet the predetermined sales levels.  You receive a great publication chock full of product information, project suggestions,
  • Q - What is my OBLIGATION if I sign up?
  • A - Pay for the Starter Kit.  That's it!
  • Q - How much is shipping for the Starter Kit?
    A - Free!
Q - Where can I get more information?

A - Right here   or call me at 204-661-3269

If you have any other questions, Please contact me and I'd be happy to chat with you about them.  No pressure!  No OBLIGATION.  I just believe this is such a one-of-a-kind deal and I would hate for you to miss out if you are even casually thinking about it.
Thanks so much for stopping by today ~ and I'm really hoping to have a post for you to see today ~ ~have a great day~ and maybe we'll see you later!

I still have a few cards that I'd like to put together, but not worried if I don't get that done. So as I was packing up I realized that there were a few cards that I had no record of, so I quickly snapped a few shots ~ here's one of the cards that I created and was really pleased with it, so I may want to do this one again ~ have a peek and let me know your thoughts ~
