Holiday Bundles From Stampin' Up

Image
Even though Stampin' Up! predicted the popularity of the Decorative Label punch & ordered extra it's in such high demand that it is now on back-order.  And because it's included in one of the Holiday Bundles, here's what Stampin' Up! has to say about it:  We will continue to offer the Tags til Christmas Bundle as part of the Handmade Holiday promotion. This will allow you & your customers who still want the bundle to order it now and still receive 20 percent off. The Tags til Christmas Set will ship immediately and the Decorative Label Punch will ship as soon as we have the Decorative Label Punches in stock.  As another option for customers, we have created an  additional  Tags Til Christmas Bundle that includes the  Ornament Punch  instead of the Decorative Label Punch. This bundle will be available throughout the promotion even when the Decorative Label Punch is no longer on backorder.  So check out the new  Holiday Bundle  and place your order toda

Peaceful Christmas

Faux Silk ~ have you tried this yet ~ what a fun Technique, I found this on  Splitcoaststampers  and knew I needed to try this out. It's really hard to see the effect on my card, but IRL it's totally different, too bad...but then again, if you want to see the effect, you should try this Technique! So here's a few peeks at what I created. The Faux Silk Technique was done on the Lovely As A Tree portion of the card. I used the Northern Flurry Embossing folder on the inside of my fancy fold card. I then used my dauber and Frost White Shimmer Paint on the center raised portion of the snowflakes! Looks amazing! The sentiment on the card front, snow flakes & inside where embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, the effect is beautiful against the Whisper White CS. The 'grass' areas and tree centers were daubed with my 2 way glue pen and then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds! Very subtle, but stunning!  ~ I hope I have inspired you to create ~ Thank you so mu

Have a peek and let me know what you think! So here's the top of it looking down, under the Tab is a small magnet to keep the box closed! Here's a peek inside where we will be tucking our Christmas Tags into there appropriate sections! You can just see the little magnet peeking out from behind the DP. Thanks for stopping by today ~ I hope you have a great day!

Two Challenges in One ~ PPA65 & Stampin 411 SS174

Who doesn't like Bling...I knew I needed to play along when I found this at  Pals Paper Art s and then found a sketch that I really wanted to create from Stampin 411 ~ so here are the two challenges that entered.   Be sure to pop by tomorrow and have a peek at a tag box that I created to hold Christmas Gift Tags ~ I'll be teaching that class in November ~ sure hope you can join in the fun! The bling on the flower, stem and leaves doesn't really show up well in this photo, but IRL it looks gorgeous and sparkles, sparkles, sparkles! I created this with an Anniversary Card in mind, but I think this would also make a stunning Wedding Card. I tried to crop my crystal rock out on the lower left side out of the picture,  but then it cut to much of the card off.  ~ enjoy your day, may you be blessed today and be a blessing to someone! Thanks for stopping by today! Stamps:  En Francais, Happy Harmony, Because I Care Paper:  Very Vanilla, Ballet Blue  Ink:  Ballet Blue Ac

What a fun week of card making ~ Christmas music playing in my studio ~ and on Thursday I had two girlfriends come over for the Christmas Stack and then continued today with more girlfriends sharing, creating and just having a wonderful time together. I love what I do and sharing it is the absolute bonus for me.   I saw this 411 Challenge  and I knew I needed to play along ~ I'm still in the Christmas theme and enjoying Christmas in October! So here is my creation ~ it is a little challenging to see in the photo, but I'm pleased with the outcome ~ I embossed Whisper White CS with the Northern Flurry Impression Folder, found in the Holiday Mini (love this folder, it's is a definite 'have to have' in my studio) ~ I then used a sponge dauber and Frost White Shimmer Paint on the embossed flurries. The tree from 'Wondrous Gift' and the decor from 'Delightful Decorations' were heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder ~ I liked how this was coming t

MIA ~ I'm Back!!!

What a crazy week ~ all fun, but non-stop and no time for stampin' other than grabbing a minute here and another one there. So this card took me ALL week to finish. First of all the color is a real stretch for me! When I saw the challenge on Paper Pals , I couldn't get it out of my head, I knew I needed to go for it ~ had no idea where to start so I hunted around and found this layout on Techno Stamper . So here's a snap of a week of work and I had a blast once again playing in my studio! Sure hoping to hit more challenges this week (with paper that is)! So my Versamarked "En Francais" didn't really show up, good thing though...it's upside down & I'm not sure why my corner looks bent? hmmmm....picture taking is not one of my strengths :-D  Stamps: Punch Potpourri, En Francais, Occasional Quotes  Paper: Pear Pizzaz, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait, Whisper White, DP (non-SU)   Ink: VersaMark, Melon Mambo   Acc: Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, W

It's Tuesday ~ and no Stampin' :(

I really wanted to enter another challenge today, but found myself too busy getting ready for my next workshop...and I really should tidy my house before my girls come over....not fun in my books, but one of those necessary evils ~  can anybody relate or is it just me?  So rather than no post at all, I want to share a picture of a darling birthday cake that my girls surprised me with on my last birthday! My girlfriend Cheryl brought this over for me and her daughter Connie created this masterpiece ~ isn't it just amazing! the entire cake was eatable, the stiletto, the buckle, the pearls ~ all are fondant! and the cake was SO good ~  it was a beautiful white cake with strawberries inside ~ yum yum yum!  Thanks Cheryl & Connie! Some create cards, some create cakes, some create music,  some create ______ (fill in the blank) we all have gifts ~ sure hope you have time to create with the gifts that you have been given! Thank you so much for stopping by ~ have a wonderful day!

Paper Players Challenge #18

Image
Good Monday Morning ~ hope you all had a wonderful weekend ~ we spent Thursday to Saturday with dear friends and then picked up Marc at the airport on Sunday afternoon! yippee ~ so nice to see him for a couple of days!  So I mentioned a sneak peek on Friday, for today, but, I've changed my mind ~ (am I allowed to do that?) ~ I actually decided to enter another challenge that I saw as I was hopping around ~ here's a challenge from Paper Players ,  Challenge #18, created in Monochromatic colors. And the Christmas card done in neutrals ~ well, black & so saffron  ~ hope this is acceptable for the challenge ~   This was heat embossed using Gold Embossing powder and then punched using the Ornament X-Large Punch (love that punch) Once again, this card is far more stunning in real  ~ the inside was punched with a Christmas themed border punch ~ Stamps:  Delightful Decorations Paper:  Basic Black, So Saffron Ink:  Versa Mark Acc:   Ornament X-Large Punch ~ SU,  Embos

It's Friday!

Our youngest son is coming home for the weekend and I can't wait to see him! His is very gifted musically and is being interviewed on a local radio station ~ Marc is an independent local recording artist and so this is the reason for the interview ~ check out his ' my space ' and have a listen to his music. I think you'll really enjoy it! Here's a picture of a card that we created last week at one of my classes. This is called the black magic technique, and I can't for the life of me remember where I saw this technique for the first time, but absolutely love it ~ everything just pops on the card, too bad the picture doesn't do it justice for one second! The butterflies really look stunning in real life ~ they were 'shimmer misted' and popped on the face of the card as well as inside! I know....it's really hard to see! Be sure to pop in on Monday for a sneak peek of the card we'll be creating on Tuesday evening! Thanks for stopping by tod
