Stampin' Chez Moi

Well, I've been MIA ~ our son and family are in town for a week and I have the night as they are away,  so I thought I'd do a quick little hello, blog post ~ I did need a masculine Birthday card as we have a very close friend who is celebrating this week ~   I quickly dug through my Pre-order and grab a few stamp sets before we headed to the LakeHouse for the weekend ~ and here is a super quick and easy card that I created using the Reflected in Nature stamp set and In Good Taste DSP!!! I love creating cards using the Z Fold and this one came together in about 10 minutes...which was perfect ~  as we were heading out the door to wish our friend a Happy Birthday!  Thank you so much for popping in ~ I hope you enjoyed this super quick post and  hoping that I leave you with some inspiration!   So with all this, I bid you adieu ~ Have a fantastic day! Dean & I had such a fun time camping with Seth last week ~ here are a few shots of our time together! Dean & Seth played checkers and although we don't  have a picture of us...I taught Seth how to play Backgammom...and we had a blast! Well I was elated when I saw the sketch from JUGS ...this could not have been more perfect for what I had in mind for Seth's Birthday card....I can't believe our first born grandchild is going to be 13 next week. And of course Seth will be getting a nice Soft Suede, Leather bound Backgammom Board from Gramma...and the card....well, you guessed it....a Backgammom card! So much fun! Two quick little comments from me..... wish I wouldn't have stamped my VeryVanilla disks...should have just left them and embossed them with clear EP as I did the Chocolate Chip ones....and secondly... ...I know it's a goofy card, but Seth will be TOTALLY impressed that I made a Backgammom card...hence the.....Backga...

Hello and welcome here! Don't you just love the sketches from Stamping 411 ! What a privilege to play along side this wonderful girls. Here is this weeks sketch ~ as soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I would be inking up ~ I absolutely adore this stamp set and can't believe it won't be available after August 30th! I really enjoy creating masculine cards! I guess when you have the right toys, it makes all the difference in the world ~ so the men in my life...well, I guess you can't all get the same card, so I'd better get some more creating done ~ I digress once again....so here is my card ~ and I love it! I had a workshop the other evening and it was SO fun to be back in my studio ~ so I was hunting around for a challenge to enter this morning and found two that would be perfect for a masculine Birthday Card. Here's a peek at the two challenges that I brought together! A La Card Monkey was a birthday challenge ~ PERFECT!!! and now the hunt for the colors that I needed to go with the stamp set that I had in mind.... .... Perfect Picture Creations #59 ~ Perfect Once Again!!! So while everything seemed to be going Perfect, why not take a picture of my creation outside on this Perfectly Beautiful Day! I'm back...well, mostly back...now we need to put the house back together, but in the mean time ~ I was able to create and post ~ I found these fantastic colors at Paper Players challenge #46  ~ and enjoyed myself so much putting this together ~  ~ Here's a shot of my card along with the inside ~ This is a super quick post as I've got family coming for pizza and piano/organ moving night ~ it's called dinner with a purpose!
