Christmas Gathering 2015

Image
The table is set….. the creative idea has been met The music is playing, I’m excited…just saying The clock is tickin’ away waiting for you to come this way! See you soon ~ see you soon :-) ....yup...my cheesy little reminder for my girls that I emailed them  before our Christmas Gathering :-)   Do you recognize the DSP ~ I had it dry mounted at Costco as a gift give away during our evening. I created two different gift boxes, one using the Box Punch Board and one following a template for a pizza box and inside each of these sweet boxes, were the following little gift tag cards! These were just a small token for each of my girls :-) I appreciate them all so much ~ I have the best bunch of gals that come over and create with me on a regular basis ~ I am truly blessed! (insert heart) They also went home with a little luminary that I created for them! And I forgot to take a picture of the table after everyone brought a little something to share ~ did we e

Our one and only little girl turns 2 next week! Katie is a sweet little cutie I found three fabulous challenges to play along with and thus began creating Katie's Birthday card! The colours for Colour Throwdown #364 were prefect for her card, then I found this great sketch at Retro Sketch #185 and Seize the Birthday of course!  Thanks for these wonderful challenges ladies ~ oh you know you want to join in the fun, so get inking!!!   So I flipped my card on it's side ~ pulled out my Prisma Pencil crayons, just to add a wee splash of color after I cut my image and frame using the Circles Collection Framlits~ I inked up the heart from Work of Art and created my DSP and used the die cut from Banner Framlits, played with my new EF Softly Falling (love it) ~ super sweet and simple birthday card  Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoyed your visit ~ have a wonderful weekend! There's NO Place Like HOME!!!

It's been SO long since I've posted, I'm still trying to get the hang of our new place, oh, and I must say....LOVE IT!!!!!  Creating is not as easy at it was in my 1600 sq ft studio, but it works!!!  My punches are stored in large Rubbermaid bins under our bed and everything else is stored in large Ikea bookcases ~ everything is either in a bin, drawer or behind a door ~ so nothing looks like a craft room, it does force me to be VERY organized, which I am...but also VERY tidy with everything put away after, that does not come easily to me, but I'm working on it ~ once I'm feeling more settled with ALL corners put away, I'll post pictures of our new place ~ in the mean time, here is a picture of what we get to look at all day long!!! ~ I had so much fun creating this card for our daughter's birthday ~ Out came some new toys and away I went ~ also loosely followed the sketch from FMS203 and because this is a Birthday card, it also

Moving day from our tiny 961 sq ft condo into our 1400 sq ft condo is almost upon us ~ projected moving date is June 15 ~ our cabinets were delivered yesterday, flooring is in our unit, things just need to be put together...we are OVER the TOP excited to get settled once again...and we have another peek at our place later today ~ I'll post pictures on my next post...in the mean time, this is what it looks like on the outside ~ the view in front of the Condo and a shot across the river ~ our balcony in the second from the top on the right hand side, looking over the river ~ woohoo...get to work people! 17 days and counting!!! Now in the mean time, while I had everything out and putting things away is not as easy as it used to be...so I stayed with the same color theme as my last post ~ soft and sweet ~ here are the thank you cards that I came up with ~ loving the soft feel of this color combo, although taking the picture isn't the easiest ~ what do you think!

The season of showers & weddings are upon us...I have a weekend of weddings showers, so I peeked in my stash of cards...yup....just what I thought...so last night I threw a CAS card together...is it wrong to have the same card for two different showers ~ the brides don't know each other and the ladies attending will be different at both showers...so yes...I cheated! I found two great challenges that gave me my starting point ~ Create with Connie & Mary have this great colour challenge and then I followed the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch  .... thanks so much ladies for all that you do in helping us with a great place to start ~ THANKS ~  I do find CAS quite difficult as I'm used to more layers...but I am pleased with the out come of my shower card! what do you think? Thanks so much for popping by and having a peek ~ I hope you enjoyed your visit :-) ~ enjoy your day ~ If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a party I would l

I had the BEST day EVER today ~ my girlfriend came over at 10:15am and the creativity was flowing ~ my girlfriend made two amazing cards (should've taken a picture of us creating)...I love watching her create ~ out with the sketch she's wants to follow ~ a little tweak here and another there and there it is ~ another STUNNER...and yes, should have taken a picture ~ DUH!!!  Thanks for the best day my friend ~ I am blessed beyond words :-) and then I found a sweet sketch to follow, although it wasn't open any longer, but I was on a roll and lovin' the sketch and the card that I was CASing .... thanks for your amazing card LeAnne ... I hope you're okay with me using your card for inspiration ~ your card is absolutely stunning ~ love your creativity so much...so wonderful to see what you share! Thanks So here's my cards that were inspired by LeAnne's card and the sketch at Just Add Ink I created each of these just a bit different ~ the top card

What a fun day of creating I had ~ knew I wanted a birthday card but didn't have a starting place so I went on a hunt to find the challenges that would fit with the Big Day stamp set ~ I found this great sketch to follow from  retro sketches #154   and then this wonderful color challenge at  Stampin' Royalty #268     I can't believe this is the first time I've used the Large Polka Dot EF ~ I fussy cut around the banner and used Dimensionals to give it some depth ~ coloured each letter in CAKE to go along with the color challenge and then added Crystal Effects to each letter ~ I am pleased with the finished card, but it does look much nicer IRL Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Jump on in and join these challenges ~ there is still time to play...so let's go!! Thanks so much for popping by today ~ I hope you have a great day ~ Happy Creating ~ If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a party I

I enjoyed a wonderful day of creating and found three great challenges to follow ~ you should jump in on the fun ~ first I found this wonderful sketch at the Friday Mashup!  great sketch Avery! Thanks!!! Dropped in on Connie & Mary and found a great color challenge and then popped in at Seize the Birthday and joined them again...thanks girls for these great challenges! I am loving the new Lotus Blossom stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, oh and I love the that honeycomb from the Butterfly Basics stamp set too...and Sequins...and Gorgeous Grunge...these are MUST haves in my creative corner!!! Here is the birthday card that I created ~ I was very pleased with the card! ARRRHHH....Two Pirate cards back to back...how fun is that? This little monkey is having a birthday in a couple of weeks and he is also into Jake the Pirate, so of course we have to buy him a Jake the Pirate Ship (shhhh) and I needed a card to go along with the theme of the party ~ can't wait for Lucas to get his gift and matching card!  Happy 2nd birthday      sweet one ~ xoxo How fun to find two amazing challenges to go along with my card ~ this sketch at  Freshly Made Sketch # 171  was perfect for my card, I took my three banners and gave them a bit of a slant and then topped it off with this fun Happy Birthday Banner, I then fussy cut this and sponged the edges! and then the  Seize The Birthday  birthday was "Anything Goes"...bonus!  Thanks for these wonderful challenges...and there is still time to play, so why don't you jump in and join the fun :-) Here is Lucas' birthday card, the texture on the Basic Black CS is a little hard to see, the
