Stampin' Chez Moi

I had so much fun creating last night with some friends ~ it's all about sharing for me ~ I love to share my toys and watch as my friends enjoy themselves in my little studio! The Mojo Monday sketch grabbed me the second I saw it and knew this was my starting point The next thing that was really on my mind was my HUGE stash of DP... I so seldom grab that and was determined that is was NOT going to intimidate me any longer.... so here goes! I really like the my finished card, although it really didn't photograph very well. I really dislike having to create a sympathy card when I need one and my stash is very low, so much was accomplished today!  Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a blessed day! Our very dear friends father passed away on the weekend and I needed a sympathy card for them. This was so hard to create for our friends, but I do know that they are covered in prayers and finding comfort in God's wonderful presence during this difficult time. I really do need to create several sympathy cards so that they are on hand when they are needed ~ creating a card when it's needed is just too difficult for me.  I followed a sketch that I found on Stampin' Addicts Here is my card that I created ~ I did enjoy playing with my new toys....just really hard when you know who will be receiving it ~ I forgot to take my photo during the sunny portion of the day ~ and so please overlook the terrible shots that I've posted! I'd like to end on a brighter note ~ so here are a few shots that we took on our weekend away with our son's beautiful family! I just loved this challenge and they both came from Stamping 411 ~ if you've never joined this challenge, you really should ~ I love playing along with this ~ So first I found the colors that I would be playing with and this was the Stamping 411 Color Inspiration #152  ~ and then the sketch at Stampin 411 Sketch #194 I knew exactly what I wanted to play with ~ so out with Forest Friends (this sketch was perfect)....incidentally....another stamp set that I had never played with...I think I'm on a roll here! ~ Here's the picture of my card ~ As I began to play with this, I thought I was really going to be able to keep my sponge away ~ but I just can't seem to do it ~ I LOVE TO SPONGE MY EDGES!!! So after I stamped my Pear Pizzazz with my Sanded Stamp ~ out with my sponge!  I put together each little frame as follows ~  Each little Forest Friend was punched out with my 1 1/4 Square Punch and then sponged (surprise!!!) ~  I then punched out a Scallop Square using C...

What a busy week I've had and then all of a sudden, I had a found afternoon today ~ so ~ I quickly found the challenges that I was hoping to play with and had myself some fun! I really am hungering for spring and the Paper Players Challenge #37   & PPA84 were just TOO perfect ~ I can almost smell the roses! The subtle colors at the Color Throwdown #132 just screams spring to me...and so away I went!  I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but sometimes what I see in my head isn't quite right and I end up changing everything about what I had originally planned on creating....today was a different story ~ this is pretty much exactly what I dreamed up ~ that is exciting for me and a first! So here's my spring card...
