And all through the house....All Is Calm, All is Bright....I LOVE Christmas and although the hustle and bustle of caring for Dean's parents was added to the mix, I think I'm ready and very excited for the festivities to begin. I still haven't done my annual Newsletter (been two years now), but I am still hoping to do this in early January... and oh how I miss being in my studio any playing as well as taking the time to blog....I have missed this SO much, but super excited that I'm sitting with a cuppa tea, Christmas music playing and I'm in my happy corner ~ I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season as you celebrate the birth of Christ with family & friends....it is a wonderful time of the year! Just a quick post to show you three super fast Christmas Tags to grace some gifts this Christmas and to join in the fun over at PPA125 , thank you so much for the wonderful challenges that you send out, I love joining in the fun and am pleased to join in before t

The Paper Players  # 71 challenge brought to you by the fabulous Anne Marie was so much fun! If you've never been to Anne Marie's blog....well.....you have to! So I guess I'm suggesting (strongly!!!) that you play along with this challenge and check out the other DT members (I promise, you won't be dissappointed, these girls are amazing!) This is what Anne Marie is calling out for ~ I think I can do this? I saw this one day as I was strolling through blogland and knew I wanted to recreate this altered milk carton. Another one of my many favorite blogs is Elaine's, she is so creative and I love to pop in on her, here is where I found my inspiration, and she also put together a fabulous youtube tutorial! So let's get busy..... as you can see, I can't create a gift box without a matching card  ~ and this one is just a sweet litte 3 x 3...super fun to create ~ In following the recipe, my 3 patterened papers are from the Candy Cane Christmas found in last yea

He loves bears, and so this was a no brainer...I knew the exact stamp set I'd be using and my card went along with two challenges! PP#69 had a great sketch to follow ~ thanks girls! and PPA117 was calling for ribbon! Two fabulous challenges for Austin's birthday card! So Happy Happy Day to our little man! Here's a shot of Austin's card (sorry for the bad picture) ~ and a peek of the inside ~ Sorry for the quick post ~ I'm hoping to come back after the weekend and give you the details for this card ~ if you do have ANY questions, please don't hesitat

Friday Mash Up & Freshly Made!

Fall has definitely been ushered into my neighborhood ~ the trees are glorious, the air is crisp and the garden has fallen into it's winter rest....did I say winter!!! You bet, and I've been busy getting ready for my Christmas Stack Class ~ here is a peek at just one of the cards that we will be creating ~ I flipped the sketch from {Freshly Made}   and loosely followed it and my card also qualifies for the Friday Mash Up , as they called out for snowflakes!  ~ thanks girls for these wonderful challenges ~ please visit these gals and join in the fun! And the card..........I sponged just a tad around this wonderful tree found in the Christmas Lodge stamp set ~ what a beautiful set and a must have in my studio! The snowflake was created using the Northern Frost Die, sticky tape & Dazzling Diamonds....a girl can never have to many dazzling diamonds! It's really hard to tell in the photo, but I used Shimmery White CS ~ there is a very subtle misting of snowflakes across th

Colored Leaves Falling Everywhere!!!

What a fabulous fall we have had thus far ~ summer weather in October! It is beautiful outside and finding time to stamp is at a premium ~ I love being outside when it's fabulous out ~ but I did take the time to enter my studio in the evenings, so needless to say, this took a couple of evenings to put together and then shot these pictures outside ~ I don't know about you, but stamping is therapy for me ~ I hope you enjoy what I created, I'm super pleased with this card! The gals at SUO Challenge 29 are calling for leaves and then I found a fabulous color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments #87  . Sure hope you pop in on these two wonderful challenge blogs and play along! I love my new Simply Scored tool and so took advantage of my little markers and scored away. This is just a standard 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 CS, scored at 2 1/8 & 6 7/16...mark your spot and you're good to go....easy peasy!!!! Love it!!! I colored my wheelbarrow and veggies using my Blender Pen and also

Paper Players Challenge #113

Finding balance is usually difficult me for ~ it means I can't ALWAYS do what I'd love to do but also what is needed. So in trying to find balance in my present world, I've had to make some very hard choices, first being my classes...I love getting together with my friends to create, but needed to cut my class time in half...and the other was the posting on my blog when I'm able to and not a daily thought and hope to get to it event! Both of these decisions effect my studio time and playing along with challenges...so today I feel SO priviledged that I got to play and my card went along with the challenge that I found at PPA113 which was to Heat Emboss. I definetley agree with the DT, heat embossing just gives everything a pop! So here is a picture of my card which was heat embossed using Dazzling Diamonds...haven't played with that for such a long time and I had a blast ~ it was so nice to create...I miss doing this daily, but....well, you know... These cuties we

Inkspirations Meets Paper Players

I was very intrigued by PP64 's challenge, Clean & Simple along with an Animal or Plant ~ so I rose to the challenge and included all the above ~ Clean & Simple (which I found very difficult) a little monkey, cut using my Cricut and an ivy running along the edge of my sketch...oh and speaking of sketch , this came from INKsirations 4U along with the color challenge! Sort of One Stop Shopping! I hope you like what I created. A very dear friend just gave birth to her second child and I really wanted to create a personalized book for Eli ~ he is her little monkey and so this became my starting place ~ here is a picture of my gift for Eli! and then my matching card to go along with Eli's gift ~ I did flip the sketch onto it's side ~  My little Chocolate Chip Monkey was very hard to photograph, he really does have a face! Sorry for the quick post...been really busy with helping out our aging parents and I'm exhausted, but so excited that I had some t

Is It Too Late ~ PP62 & Page Maps

Image
I guess I'll start my post with a question....is it too late to send a birthday card almost two months after someone's birthday! Do you ever do that, all of a sudden you realized you missed the day or even the month? Yikes....now what do I do...just let it continue to go by even though it's naggin' at you...or send a very belated birthday blessing...hmmmm....that is my question ~ now on to my card! The Paper Players have a great challenge this week and I can't believe that I'm playing along ~ summer is extremely busy for me with family, gardening, visiting, camping....and sadly, I don't really get a chance to play in my studio...I'm so blessed that my garden is my other happy place! Paper Players 62 is wanting a Birthday Card...how did they know what was tugging at my heart! I then followed a sketch from Page Maps ...and here is a picture of my card! ~ and the inside of the card ~ I created my butterfly using the 'baby wipe technique' ~

Do I Remember How?

Image
Well it feels like ages since I've posted....and it has been....hmmmm...do I remember how to do this ~ actually ~ haven't been in my studio in 'forever'...yikes, my mojo is lost, my drive has driven, my garden needs harvesting...but I need to take a break...so I'm sitting with a cuppa earl grey tea, sitting in the sun on the deck, and stopping by to say hello and I miss you! I don't have a card to post, but I want to show you a few pictures from my open house in July....I miss my girls, can't wait to get back at it in a few weeks! Oh, I guess I'd better get my mojo and drive together and quickly :-) I had so much fun creating these for my girls! and these along with little thank you notes & envelopes inside!  Strawberries inspired from Linda's Stampin Loft    From my garden! Seems so long ago now!  New catalogues and in colors! If you have any questions, please drop me a line ~ thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope to get some cr

Why does summer get SO busy...I always seem to be running ~ not getting things done that I would like to ~ running again...okay, sorry, you didn't pop in for this...but I was so thrilled to have some time to create a birthday card for our son Marc! He'll be home in a few days along with his beautiful wife ~ I can't wait to see them ~ I don't do long distance well ~ Nance, thanks so much for this wonderful sketch to follow ~ I'm down to the last minute, but I made it just in time to join the girls at Paper Players ! Here's Nance's sketch And my son's birthday card ~ I purchased this stamp set with him in mind, so it was so fun to ink it up and put this together for him ~ sure hope he likes it ~ I would love for you to have a listen to his music, here's a link to his my space and his birthday card! Thanks so much for stopping by today ~ I hope you have a super day, weekend and enjoy the wonderful month of August!!!! Let the music play on :-) Stam

What a fun card sketch to create with ~ I've enjoyed my time so much playing along with this ~ do join in the fun! Here is my card ~ I really don't enjoy creating sympathy cards when they are needed. I find it too difficult, so I always like to have some on hand ~ now I actually don't have any except for this new one that I created to go along with this sketch. I really need to create a few more ~ I guess that just doesn't sound so great ~ I need to take a photography class ~ sorry about the shots! BAD!!!!! How do you ever preamble a sympathy card and leave a post with a *smile* ~ so I'd like to leave you with a few of my favorite shots that I've take lately ~ I hope you enjoy them ~ thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a super day ~ and enjoy y
