SSC 214 ~ With Sympathy

Well girls, it's been fun being a part of the Stamping 411 team for the month of July ~ thank you once again for the honor! Now onto this fabulous sketch....you really need to join in the fun! What a fun card sketch to create with ~ I've enjoyed my time so much playing along with this ~ do join in the fun!


Here is my card ~ I really don't enjoy creating sympathy cards when they are needed. I find it too difficult, so I always like to have some on hand ~ now I actually don't have any except for this new one that I created to go along with this sketch. I really need to create a few more ~ I guess that just doesn't sound so great ~


I need to take a photography class ~ sorry about the shots! BAD!!!!!

    This is a wonderful sympathy card. I like the overall softness of it. Great sponging and pretty colours. This is a great sketch.
    Thanks for sharing these pictures of your adorable (and handsome) grandsons. I know how dear they are to you and love seeing their love of life.

    I feel exactly the same about doing sympathy cards, Denise. So, I finally gathered a series of samples, changed them up a bit, and then held a workshop. I'll be adding your lovely card to my collection. I love the colour combination. Thank you. Carolyn from Edmonton

    Denise, I know what you mean about it being a challenge to have to create sympathy cards. This came out beautifully! I love the embossing and the sponged edges. Very pretty! Great photos of the grandkids, too. How adorable are they?? :)

Hello friends and I want to wish you a Blessed Happy New Year!!!  A year filled with love, hope and peace!!! And I want to welcome you here, to the first Technique Tuesday of the year.  The call for this Technique is using the Brayer!  Oh boy, I haven't used my Brayer in years...so here we go!! Did you see this new Embossing Folder?  It's from the new Adoring Hearts Bundle and wow!!! what a Bundle this is, we have the Stamp Set, Embossing Hybrid Folder, and the Dies, that work with the Embossing Folder.  So whenever you have an Embossing Folder, that is Hybrid, well, that means you Die Cut and Emboss at the same time...Easy Peasy and AMAZING!!! So what I did was, with my Blackberry Bliss Stamp Pad, I inked Brayered the inside of the Embossing Folder, then carefully laid the Die into the Embossing Folder, placed a 6" x 6" piece of Basic White CS, into the folder!  Ran that through my Cut & Emboss Machine and voilà Stampin Dimensionals behind these sweet hearts and
