cQC Challenge & SUO Challenge
When I saw the cQc Challenge #67, I knew right away what I wanted to do with this ~ my baby card stash is VERY low...and then the following morning I noticed the SUO Challenge was for a Baby Card! Two challenges in one ~ I had so much fun doing this...with a few challenges along the way!
I really seem to struggle with colors that are chosen for me...so this is a good thing, gets me out of my box and comfort zone ~ I didn't have any Kiwi Kiss in my studio and then forgot all about Melon Mambo! So I substituted Certainly Celery for the Kiwi and then added the Twine to my buttons which is the closest embellishment that I had to Melon Mambo! Okay, so now I'm exhausted....so here's my Baby Buggy Card
I then used Crystal Effects on the Baby Buggy dots & heart (I'm loving CE, just adds texture and 'color pop' to whatever it kisses) ~ so then I came to the interior of the card and when I stamped.....oh....I made a mess, I didn't come down properly and so my stamp jumped and then my stamp came tumbling down...arhhh!!! Well, sometimes these little faux pas are great, so as it turned out, the only way I could hide my mess, was to frame the inside of the card with my sentiment and little embellishments. I would love to tell you that I had this design in mind and wow!!! don't you just love the out come...but that is not how it originally came together...but in the end ~ I am so pleased!
Thank you so much for stopping by today
~ I hope you have a wonderful day and have a moment in your day to play!

ReplyDeleteHaha-----I love it!!! I love the buttons. Your baby carriage is so cute - the "kisses" of CE are beautiful! The inside "frame" is perfect. I knew you wouldn't be happy with the other option ;) We are not so different after all are we my friend?? :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! I always say "Mistakes are opportunities for further embellishment." Your card is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute baby card! And I like how you turned your oops into a way of carrying the card's theme to the inside! Thanks for playing with us at the colourQ this week!
