Oh my, oh my...I had so much fun getting inky and can't wait for my first class after my summer hiatus 🌞 These two great challenges were so fun to play along with, Freshly Made Sketches & Seize the Birthday  .... you really need to play along and join in the fun! I absolutely love the sponging technique and I'm so pleased with the outcome of my card and Birthday as well as Toppings from STB Challenge, seriously!!!! Card Base ~ Whisper White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 ~ score at 4 1/4 Layer 1 ~ Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 ~ Stamp image of ‘girl on the beach’ from Beautiful You, using Memento  Punch 1 1/2” circle for mask, stamp & fussy cut girl on post it note~ place on Layer 1 as per *photo  ALWAYS begin with your lighter color for the sunset scene, So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Berry Burst (stamp off a bit first), Perfect Plum for the edges and not so much in the middle. Oh My Goodness...where do I even begin...I haven't posted since August????  So much has happened and I don't want to bore you to tears, so here is a VERY short version of what life has been like for us!!! We moved AGAIN, yup...loved the condo, but it just wasn't 'us'...we have 8 grandchildren, what were we thinking!!! So we are back in a smaller home in a 'condo' neighbourhood! Back in the country/sub-burbs, where we belong....and....LOVE it!!!! I have hosted two classes since we've been here and it's amazing to have room once again...and a ROOM!!! I'll take pics on a later post, but for now, I just want to get this out there!  We created this card last night and I had a blast!!!  I have a few challenges that this card also qualifies for ~ and I ALWAYS love to play along and looking forward to many more....thanks so much for putting these together for us all!!! I'm not sure if you're like me, but I can never have too many birthday cards ~ I actually found two birthday challenges to enter for my card along with this great sketch at Atlantic Hearts (I did follow it quite loosely, I hope that's okay) ~ so here goes, Atlantic Hearts Sketch #174 , Seize The Birthday & Stampin' Royalty #343! Although we don't own a sail boat, I love the idea of sailing away for a day and just enjoying the water and peacefulness that seems to go along with sailing :-) ~ my little birthday cards gives me a sense of peace and calm in the midst of the storms that we seem to be facing lately! It's with such a heavy heart that I post today ~ My wonderful father-in-law has gone to be with his Lord & Saviour ~ the good-bye, til we meet again is so difficult ~  This man loved me as a daughter the moment I entered his life. He's been my 'other' dad for over 36 years...I love you dad and will miss you always.
