Stampin' Chez Moi

Well I can't believe that I created a card along with three different challenges, that hasn't happened in quite some time...I just may be onto something great and wonderful as I begin a new season of stampin with my friends! Speaking of great beginnngs, that was the reason for this card that I created for our friend! My starting point was this great colour challenge at Colour Q Challenge #202 ...what fabulous colours for a male card!    Here is the sketch that I followed to create his card...found this one at Retro Sketches #76 ~ I love this site...well...I love them all ~ so much help for a starting place for me! After I had completed my card I realized that I also qualified for the challenge at The Ribbon Carousel which was to have a summer theme and to use ribbon/twine on your creations...well I thought the colours depicted summer and I used a piece of twine on the top panel of my card! Today I remember the wonderful challenge that I'm submitting my creation to...there is hope for me!!! I just love the challenges over at MDS Monday ~ every time I play along, I learn something new about MDS...love the learning girls ~ thanks so much...so here is the sketch that I followed and the added challenge was to edit the punch shape! And as you can see...we are still on our road trip on our way to SLC, Utah for convention....once I get our trip done ~ back to my books for our grandsons! Well, you know you've got tooo much on your plate ~ or the multi tasking just isn't working....when you complete your card and you can't for the life of you find the sketch challenge that you were following! Please please tell me that someone...even one person....can relate to this!!!  I looked in my history...nothing...looked through the challenges that I try to enter...nothing...gave up looking...yup!!! Well what a fun day I've had...two of my girlfriends came over this morning and we created all day! I found this great sketch to follow...and after I finished my card and read the sketch challenge a little closer, I realized that this was a new blog challenge and here I was #1 challenge and I get to play along! Thanks SO much to the gals at Seize the Sketch ...scoot on over and join in the fun! Here is the sketch that I followed! My card actually began with this little dress that was already cut out and sitting on my desk...I've never grabbed a piece that was sitting and waiting for some creativity to surround it...so away I went and it took me awhile to wake up my tired out Mojo....finally...I was getting somewhere! So here it is ~ my first creation since my Convention Swaps! I hope I can keep my Mojo going and create again before the end of the week! Thanks for popping in....please drop me a little hello! I haven't posted since before I left for Convention...and it was fabulous! What a great experience I had at my first SU Convention!!! Met many wonderful ladies ~ great time of teaching ~ unbelievable ideas ~ and now to implement all that I have learned! Before we left I was working on some MDS pages for our grandsons...and while we were away, I began another book ~ Utah Bound 2013!  Dean & I road tripped to Utah and had the BEST time ever! We decided to take all the back roads and stay off the Instate all they way there.  What a great idea! We drove through the small towns, met wonderful people and saw the most beautiful sights ever! God's wonderful creation left us speechless so many times! Here are some of the pages that I have created thus far ~ I'm not the most creative when it comes to scrapbooking, I just really enjoy putting it together and allowing the pictures and a bit of journaling tell the story ~ I hope you enjoy my pages!
