Stampin' Chez Moi

What a fun day of creating for me ~ I guess this really has become something to sing about...figuring out my creating without a studio in our new Condo ~ LOVE IT!!!  This forces me to stay organized and tidy as I go...quite a feat for this gal!!! Here's a view of the sunset the other evening ~ and of course the pictures jus don't do it justice AT ALL!!!  Painted by the very Hand of God! It's been SO long since I've posted, I'm still trying to get the hang of our new place, oh, and I must say....LOVE IT!!!!!  Creating is not as easy at it was in my 1600 sq ft studio, but it works!!!  My punches are stored in large Rubbermaid bins under our bed and everything else is stored in large Ikea bookcases ~ everything is either in a bin, drawer or behind a door ~ so nothing looks like a craft room, it does force me to be VERY organized, which I am...but also VERY tidy with everything put away after, that does not come easily to me, but I'm working on it ~ once I'm feeling more settled with ALL corners put away, I'll post pictures of our new place ~ in the mean time, here is a picture of what we get to look at all day long!!! ~ I had so much fun creating this card for our daughter's birthday ~ Out came some new toys and away I went ~ also loosely followed the sketch from FMS203 and because this is a Birthday card, it also ...

Well, you know you've got tooo much on your plate ~ or the multi tasking just isn't working....when you complete your card and you can't for the life of you find the sketch challenge that you were following! Please please tell me that someone...even one person....can relate to this!!!  I looked in my history...nothing...looked through the challenges that I try to enter...nothing...gave up looking...yup!!! I Just Found It!!! Thanks Freshly Made for your wonderful challenges!!! I am over the top excited about going to my first convention!!! I found a great community over at the Stampin' Connection (another perk about being a demo for SU) ~ anyway, I was really encouraged to make even 10 swaps to bring to convention and swap with others....well, so far I have 28 and if I get a chance I'll make a few more, but time is ticking as we leave early Saturday morning, but I'm so pleased to be bringing 28 swaps along ~ here is a quick snap of my swaps, sorry for the bad picture quality, but I'm running like crazy trying to get everything done for us and my parents and my in laws before we head out ~ yikes.....I NEED a holiday! And this will be a great one ~ we are road tripping to Utah, which is what we LOVE to do! My cards also qualify for the challenge at Seize the Birthday ! What a Dynamic Duo...literally...and I actually stamped, played, and sang in my room today, I was constantly being pulled outside to play in my garden and my knitting needles were also calling me ~ oh...but my POOR neglected stamps and toys won the day...I had a blast!!! So here is the fabulous sketch from Freshly Made that I followed...and incidentally...there is still time to play, so run and have some fun!!! And then I followed the color challenge over at Dynamic Duos ... and yes, I'm using a Red shade once again, which I seem to run from, I'm pleased with the out come of this card ~ it does look sweeter IRL ~ once I got going on this card, I realized that I actually don't own Poppy Parade Stamp Pad, so I improvised by using Ruby Red, but my CS is Poppy Parade ~ so here's my card...and I also really wanted to try Triple Time Stamping...and I LOVE this Technique! So did you notice...my En Francais is upside down!!! RMS ~ rusty mojo syndrome! ...

What a beautiful evening we shared with dear friends yesterday. We've been getting together for New Years Eve for 15 years or so (as well as throughout the year). We are so blessed!!! First we sat down for dinner, then had a rousing game of Canasta...and Judi & I kicked some serious butt last night...it's been awhile since it's been our turn to win, so it was pretty sweet to say the least! We then all decided that we just wanted to sit and visit and Judi & I pulled out our knitting needles...talk about a relaxing evening, it was fabulous!  Judi & I have always exchanged gifts, but decided that we both have everything we need/want and so opted to nix the gift portion of our time....but I still HAD to make a card and what fun I had creating this just before they popped in for the evening. Why does summer get SO busy...I always seem to be running ~ not getting things done that I would like to ~ running again...okay, sorry, you didn't pop in for this...but I was so thrilled to have some time to create a birthday card for our son Marc! Good afternoon! Well I have a confession to make! I'm a hoarder. Yes, that is correct ~ I hoard.....DP...... and so today....I broke free and grabbed a sheet from Cottage Wall (I know...I've had it forever) ~ well I cut it to the size that I needed, just a small gasp as I placed snail on one side (and it was such a sweet design)....I placed it down....and I survived! hmmmm, maybe I can do this!!!  What a great day to create, it's super chilly outside and now it's raining, so glad I was able to get some gardening done yesterday. While I was outside, I snapped a few pictures of the trees if the front, they are absolutely stunning and in full bloom ~ the picture doesn't do it justice, but I'd like to show you anyway! If you take a closer peek, you can see some of my flower pots on the front step ~ we've had frost for 4 nights in a row!!!! yikes ~ summer is coming...correct???
