Color Throwdown & Paper Players

Dean & I had an evening to relax (after he buzzed in the city to show is parents how to use the remote control once again)...wow...what a week...and what a fun evening to sit, chat, create a card for a dear friend and watch Dean flip from American Pickers, Super Bowl...and whatever else he chose! and I played and shuffled paper around, shuffled a little more...but it did come together! Oh what fun to play...and I get to do this again tonight, the girls are coming over and we are working on whatever we choose, nothing to teach, just sharing my toys and lovin' it! I followed two challenges as I was creating my card ~ CTD #117 was fabulous and I couldn't wait to play and this absolutely perfect sketch was from the Paper Players...and as I was putting my post together, I realized that I was toooooooo late to submit to the PP#80 ~ oh well, I still had a blast :-) Thanks girls for this wonderful challenges that you throw our way! PP#78 & Freshly Made for Dean!

I had so much fun creating this card for Dean's birthday....I know...it doesn't have a hint of masculinity on it....but I still like it...just not too sure what Dean will think...but I do know that he adores me, so if anything, we'll have a good laugh about it. So here is how this all came about ~ I have really neglected my card creating lately, just been having so much fun knitting...here's a peek at some of my projects....and my pictures really didn't turn out so great...these projects really look amazing IRL! This is a ladies cable knit cap and below is a matching (well, the yarn) child's cap A child's Snowborder hat ~ super warm and cozy...I made two of these, one for Austin (1.5 yrs old) and one for Owen (3 months) This cable headband  was inspired by one that can be purchased at  Abercrombie & Fitch! This is so warm and cozy as well!  I hope you enjoyed my other creative obsession!   and so, Dean is out of town, and it's a perfec...
