Stampin' Chez Moi

Did you see the great sketch at the Hand Stamped Sentiments    I needed to create some Anniversary cards that came in on order ~  cards need to be Black & White and only one other color! Also, mostly Clean & Simple .... sometimes I actually don't find that very easy as I love to create with splashes of flowers or ephemera and layers!  Well, off to work I go ~  Some of the items that I used have retired, but these are some of my favourites and so they are still in my stash, sweetly organized in my retired section in my studio!  Are there any items that you can't part with? Hello to you all and thanks for popping in!  I found four fabulous challenges that I wanted to play along with...so here goes! Poetic Artistry  formerly Mojo Monday had this fabulous sketch, so this was my beginning point! ~then over at   Festive Friday  we had so many elements to choose from, so my green is the Mint Macaron, paired with the Birthday Sentiment and a little silver Faceted Gem ~ hop over to  Handstamped Sentiment  and the color challenge of Lovely Lipstick, Mint Macaron & Gorgeous Grape equals one beautiful Birthday Card that also pairs with Seize the Birthday which asks for some White Space ~ so my additional panels are also white along with the card base, so I'm hoping I'm okay with this challenge, if there isn't enough white space, it is a wonderful birthday card!        On to my card! I had a blast creating this and did attempt to do my first ever FaceBook Live, but my wi-fi kept cutting out....

It was so much fun to play in my studio yesterday ~ the house is still upside down, but I did my best to put that thought on ignore! I did have a hard time focusing and it took me all day to create an Anniversary card for my wonderful parents!   I found a great sketch at the  Inkspirations Challenge , they have wonderful challenges that you really need to check out! My colors were inspired by the  UDI Color Challenge  and they also have a wonderful blog that really deserves a visit! I don't know about you, but I find it really difficult to get my creative juices flowing after I've been out of my studio for awhile ~ and I really felt it yesterday ~ but I was determined and kept playing until I was please with the out come.  So without any further delay ~ here is my creation ~ It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday, so outside I went to take these photo's ~ and yes, it was very hard for me to be in the house on such a nice day, I love to play in my garde...

I can't believe that I'm posting tonight! I've got a Techniques class on Monday night, nothing was ready for this, painting is still being done ~ but I needed to create something and pronto ~ so I took little breaks along the way as the inspiration came ~ This is the emboss resist technique and I just love the outcome of my card. I found it really hard to take a picture that actually did the card justice, but alas...it wasn't to be! Another bonus was bestowed upon me as I came across this new weekly challenge blog called A La Card Monkey . I was SO excited to receive my new Bigz L Fun Flower die ~ and I knew the minute it arrived, I'd be playing with my toy right away! When I saw the color challenge a few days ago from the Color Throwdown #131 , my wheels started turning as to what I was going to created ~ but... I was still waiting for my order to arrive...but I've got the colors down! Yipee!!! my order arrived and away I went...or so I thought! I knew where I wanted to go with this, but still really needing the help of sketch challenge as to exactly where to go...and wouldn't you know it...woke up the other morning and there was my template from Stamping 411 #193 !
