Merry Monday Pouring In Some Fun!

Image
Call me crazy....I'm thrilled that it's pouring rain out today...my garden & flowers are getting watered...and I'm in my studio, playing, creating, singing to some favourite tunes and loving this day. I went on a hunt to find some challenges that I'd love to take part in and came across Lesley's Merry Monday Challenge ...I've always wanted to play along with this challenge, but never seemed to have the opportunity...but everything changed today! You really should pop by for some great inspiration!  Oh I had So Much Fun...so here's my card Thank you so much for stopping by today ~ I hope you have a wonderful day...I'd better run, it's still raining out, I just may get another card created! Paper Players Challenge #113

Image
Finding balance is usually difficult me for ~ it means I can't ALWAYS do what I'd love to do but also what is needed. So in trying to find balance in my present world, I've had to make some very hard choices, first being my classes...I love getting together with my friends to create, but needed to cut my class time in half...and the other was the posting on my blog when I'm able to and not a daily thought and hope to get to it event! Both of these decisions effect my studio time and playing along with challenges...so today I feel SO priviledged that I got to play and my card went along with the challenge that I found at PPA113 which was to Heat Emboss. I definetley agree with the DT, heat embossing just gives everything a pop! So here is a picture of my card which was heat embossed using Dazzling Diamonds...haven't played with that for such a long time and I had a blast ~ it was so nice to create...I miss doing this daily, but....well, you know... These cuties we...

Color Throwdown #122

Image
It was so much fun joining in the challenge from  Color Throwdown  today ~ I've been so busy with Christmas prep, caring for my in-laws who have been quite ill for the past few days and just keeping up with daily needs ~ my DH was home sick today, I wasn't 100%, but well enough to play along, so this consumed my day and I had a blast! So when I grabbed my colors I couldn't believe that I don't own Pear Pizzazz in Write Marker or Stamp Pad, so I improvised the coloring of my holly leaves with Wild Wasabi ~ sure hope that's okay! My little jewellery tags were punched with Pear Pizzazz and stamped using Riding Hood Red. The ornament was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed with Iridescent Ice EP, it looks amazing IRL, but I'm not totally pleased with the out come of the card....I feel like there's something missing ~ not sure what that is....any idea's, I'd love to hear them! Here's a quick peek of the inside of the card Thank you so muc...

Tea Light Luminaries for Paper Players

Image
I love embossing...so of course I had to play along with the Paper Players challenge! I made little Tea Light holders (battery operated ones that is). I did use Dasher just on the CS...I actually used an office store CS ~ it's not as heavy as Whisper White and therefore the light shines through it a little more ~ let me know your thoughts! I actually shut the lights off in my photo box to take this one ~ you can see the tea light effect a bit better than with the lights on! These were easy and fun to create! Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit ~ have a wonderful day! Stamps:  Dasher, Bells And Boughs Paper:  Real Red, White (non SU)  Ink:   Versa Mark Acc:  Gold EP, Oval Scallop Punch, Snips, Ribbon, SF Die Cut & Border Punches (non SU) All Supplies Stampin’ Up Unless Noted!
