Stampin' Chez Moi

Dean & I are currently away on vacation...or should I say staycation....we ARE actually away from home and living at our LakeHouse...what a beautiful place to sit, relax and enjoy God' creation in our little piece or paradise! You can imagine my surprise when I received an email from one of the local jewelry stores that I create greeting cards for! Yikes ~ 50 cards ~ with the little bit of Stampin' Up supplies that I packed ~ let's get this order complete! I quickly did some die cutting at home before we left for the lake! I had fun playing along with the challenge at Seize The Birthday #196  and created this Birthday Card ~ I hope you join in the fun too! here's the card that I created as part of the card order that I need to complete ~ they always want clean, simple and black & white cards ~ And as you can see, I've used some of my much loved retired items ~ Time to get to work or should I say play! What a fun day of creating I had ~ knew I wanted a birthday card but didn't have a starting place so I went on a hunt to find the challenges that would fit with the Big Day stamp set ~ I found this great sketch to follow from  retro sketches #154   and then this wonderful color challenge at  Stampin' Royalty #268     I can't believe this is the first time I've used the Large Polka Dot EF ~ I fussy cut around the banner and used Dimensionals to give it some depth ~ coloured each letter in CAKE to go along with the color challenge and then added Crystal Effects to each letter ~ I am pleased with the finished card, but it does look much nicer IRL Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Jump on in and join these challenges ~ there is still time to play...so let's go!!
