A New Hand To Hold!

A dear friend of mine needed a gift for a precious bundle from heaven. Her friend had a baby girl last week and needed what I call a 'WordBook' for her. The baby's name is Elizabeth, so unfortunately it is too long to create a book, so I improvised..... enter in Baby Girl and Elizabeth in beads!

Here's a full view of this darling book ~ Each letter/word represents a page that can be
scrapbooked with pictures of this precious new life!

The Rose Red WordBook needed a matching card ~ and so here is what I created to go
along with this gift. I sure hope she likes this ~ each of these books are bathed in prayer as I create them (although, often times I don't know who they are for, but the Lord does)

I hope you enjoyed this quick post today ~ have a wonderful rest of your day ~
~ hug someone you love today....better yet.....let them know ~
Blessings ~ Denise ~

3x3 Gift Card and Matching Sneakers!

I was so excited when Dean's hairstylist ordered a pair of knitted sneakers....but she was hoping for a navy pair ~ no problem at all ~ so out I went on a hunt for some Not Quite Navy yarn and got clickin' away ~ and here's what I came up with.....

And I just HAD to create a matching 3x3 gift card to go along with these sweet little sneakers!
~ I love creating these little 3x3, so fun, so fast...
and I think they're adorable to go along with this little gift ~

Here's my little stash of sneakers...they're all spoken for...how fun is that!

the little red ones are for Owen, so as soon as I get his little pudgy feet into these, I'll post and show you how stinkin' adorable they look on a sweet pair of baby feet!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and having a peek as this super quick post! I hope you have a blessed day today!

Where Did the Time Go???

Okay, so my last post was on the 8th and I can't believe it's the 20th of March...so where have I been ~ well I had a card class on the 5th and then the 12th .... and then the party started ~ Dean & I had Isaac & Austin on the 15th to the 18th ~ 24/7, as Ang & Kevin flew to Boston for a mini vacation...oh, we had a blast, but were absolutely exhausted by the time the kids got home ~ everyday was an adventure and the evenings as well ~ I was up with the kids every night at least 4 times each! yikes!!! and now I'm sleeping like a rock and getting our house slowly back to normal (what a mess)

Playing in the puddles and digging into the last bit of snow in our yard...and yes, they both fell into the puddles...so much fun...I love this! And we headed to Kid City with Andrea, Seth & Owen on one of our outings ~ what a great place for kids of all ages!

Not the greatest shots, but you get the idea ~ so so fun!!!!

So once the kids left of Sunday, Dean & I were up early Monday morning for shoulder surgery ~ yup, I am now officially married to the bionic man ~ a full right shoulder replacement! So I'm now busy tending to him, making sure his ice machine is topped up, making sure he takes his meds on time....so blessed that he's  a great patient...so needles to say, I'm still busy knitting and hoping to get into my studio some time this week ~ so there you have it ~ the reason I have been MIA ~ but all is well ~ here's Owen with his hat & little leg warmers that I knit for him!

Thanks so much for stopping by today ~ hope you have a great day!

Our Creative Corner Making Melody along with Stamping 411 x2!

Oh what a fun day...got our home tidied...did some knitting (see my Knitting For Sale page)...and had a wonderful play time in my studio....I guess I have more tidying to do now! But I'm SO excited to share my creation with you ~ but it first started with the challenge at Our Creative Corner...which was... Music can be such a motivating thing in life, why not in your papercrafting too? Take inspiration from a song and work it into any papercraft project you'd like - a card, a gift tag or some other paper craft project. Be inspired by the lyrics or the feeling you get by listening along. Just make sure your post includes the song title (and if possible the artist) that inspired you!

And I knew the exact song...and I found myself singing it the whole time I was creating ~ what a peaceful was to create! I also found two fabulous challenges at the Stamping 411 blog...the sketch 245 is found here ~ and the colour challenge 168  is here ~ I love these challenges...

So first, I need to tell you that the song that I sang (no one was home...lucky them) was
What a Wonderful World, by Louis Armstrong
"I see trees of green...red roses too....."
~ And my card ~

Oh I am SO pleased with my card ~ it took me awhile, but when I got going ~ wow!!! it just came together for me...so now, I think I'll get some knitting done ~ I have a order for two pair of these little sneakers

in pink ~ so once I finish a pair, I'll show you how adorable they look in pink!
Thank you SO much for popping by today, I hope you're having a wonderful day!
