Stampin' Chez Moi

Be still my heart!!! I made a card AND entered a challenge! As soon as I saw the sketch at Mojo Monday , I knew I wanted to join in the fun! So digging through my packed boxes (organized and clearly marked), but still packed...it was an interesting feat to say the least! So here is the sketch that I followed and my card ~ red it SO hard to photograph... sorry about the poor picture! I found a new challenge over at Joan's Garden ...what a great start for my mother's day cards...and yes, I've cut this one pretty close...came home from a fabulous dinner with our kids and grandsons and got my two cards completed for today! They are very similar...is that cheating for Mother's Day? So here's my Mother's Day cards ~ My vellum flower was inked up with Real Red and my faithful sponge...I love sponging! Cut my border using my Martha Steward border punch and then flipped it to create the same effect on the other side of my black CS. Boho Blossom Punch was used for the inside of my flower (oh I love the punch) ~ my fancy flourish was purchased at Joan's Garden ! I then embossed my card front using  Lacy Brocade and stamped my sentiment with Well Scripted! I had so much fun creating in my studio yesterday and was thrilled when my Mother's Day card qualified for three fabulous challenges. I absolutely love the colour challenge 134 over at PPA , you truly need to give this colour challenge a try ~ you'll love it!  After you check this challenge out, pop in at the girls from  Stamping 411  for the SSC 254 sketch challenge and then my card qualified over at the  PP94  challenge to celebrate Mothers. What a fabulous trio of challenges...oh you just have to play along!!! I can't believe that I'm posting tonight! I've got a Techniques class on Monday night, nothing was ready for this, painting is still being done ~ but I needed to create something and pronto ~ so I took little breaks along the way as the inspiration came ~ This is the emboss resist technique and I just love the outcome of my card. I found it really hard to take a picture that actually did the card justice, but alas...it wasn't to be! Another bonus was bestowed upon me as I came across this new weekly challenge blog called A La Card Monkey .
