FMS & Geared Up Garage

I found this great sketch at Freshly Made Sketch and loosely followed it creating this Masculine Card. I did create it as a Father's Day card, and a Masculine birthday card would also be fabulous ~ I've included my tutorial in this blog post!

  • Stamps ~ Geared Up Garage 148590
  • Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver
  • Ink ~ Versa Mark, Memento, Gold

Instructions

Card Base ~ Crumb Cake ~ 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” ~ score at 4 1/4”

Layer 1 ~ Sahara Sand ~ 4” x 5 1/4” ~ Run through the Big Shot using the ‘Cogs’ from the Garage Gears using the ‘Embossing Mat Technique’ ~ cover with Versa Mark once that step has been completed ~ apply Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. Adhere to card base using Tear & Tape/Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.

Layer 2 ~ Crumb Cake ~ 4 1/4” x 1” ~ Run through the Big Shot using Houndstooth EF ~ adhere a strip of Burlap Ribbon 4 1/4” and adhere to card base where desired using Tear & Tape/Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.

Layer 3 ~ Sahara Sand scrap ~ stamp ‘Father’s Day’ & ‘Best Dad’ sentiment using Memento ~ using Big Shot and dies from Garage Gears, cut out and adhere to card base where desired ~ I used Dimensionals on the ‘Father’s Day’ sentiment

Layer 4 ~ Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver ~ Run through the Big Shot using the ‘Cogs’ from the Garage Gears ~ Adhere where desired ~ I used Glue Dots to adhere
You’re Done ~ Enjoy!
