Our Creative Corner Making Melody along with Stamping 411 x2!
Oh what a fun day...got our home tidied...did some knitting (see my Knitting For Sale page)...and had a wonderful play time in my studio....I guess I have more tidying to do now! But I'm SO excited to share my creation with you ~ but it first started with the challenge at Our Creative Corner...which was... Music can be such a motivating thing in life, why not in your papercrafting too? Take inspiration from a song and work it into any papercraft project you'd like - a card, a gift tag or some other paper craft project. Be inspired by the lyrics or the feeling you get by listening along. Just make sure your post includes the song title (and if possible the artist) that inspired you!
And I knew the exact song...and I found myself singing it the whole time I was creating ~ what a peaceful was to create! I also found two fabulous challenges at the Stamping 411 blog...the sketch 245 is found here ~ and the colour challenge 168 is here ~ I love these challenges...
So first, I need to tell you that the song that I sang (no one was home...lucky them) was
What a Wonderful World, by Louis Armstrong
"I see trees of green...red roses too....."
~ And my card ~
Oh I am SO pleased with my card ~ it took me awhile, but when I got going ~ wow!!! it just came together for me...so now, I think I'll get some knitting done ~ I have a order for two pair of these little sneakers
in pink ~ so once I finish a pair, I'll show you how adorable they look in pink!
Thank you SO much for popping by today, I hope you're having a wonderful day!
Please pop in on the second page of my blog...you'll find some knitting that I created. Drop me a line if you'd like to make a purchase! If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a party I would love to come and stamp with you and your friends!! Or, if space is an issue, come here and create with me at one of my many clubs or classes! Drop me a line for further info! I'd love to meet you! Enjoy your day!
This is LOVELY! I just used this sketch for tomorrow's card!!! I love the color combo you used, too!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear you could spend time in your studio. I was supposed to get to my room today too, but ended up doing house work almost all day, so.... maybe tomorrow after church. What a great card inspired by a great song. I love your flower and the music layer. I like this sketch.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagaine how adorable those sneakers will be in pink. Look forward to seeing the pictures.
