PP#78 & Freshly Made for Dean!
I had so much fun creating this card for Dean's birthday....I know...it doesn't have a hint of masculinity on it....but I still like it...just not too sure what Dean will think...but I do know that he adores me, so if anything, we'll have a good laugh about it. So here is how this all came about ~ I have really neglected my card creating lately, just been having so much fun knitting...here's a peek at some of my projects....and my pictures really didn't turn out so great...these projects really look amazing IRL!
This is a ladies cable knit cap and below is a matching (well, the yarn) child's cap
A child's Snowborder hat ~ super warm and cozy...I made two of these, one for
Austin (1.5 yrs old) and one for Owen (3 months)
This cable headband was inspired by one that can be purchased at Abercrombie & Fitch!
This is so warm and cozy as well! I hope you enjoyed my other creative obsession!
and so, Dean is out of town, and it's a perfect time to create (still got tons of knitting done) ~ but I forced myself to head to my studio and play ~ so out with the calendar and realized that it's Dean birthday TODAY!!!! Well, I just wasn't feeling a manly card last night ~ especially when I saw the challenge from the Paper Players #78...I knew I had to play along ~ and so I just went with it ~ thank you so much LeAnne for these fabulous colours....I did improvise just a tad, hope that's okay!
I also love to play along with the girls at Freshly Made Sketches ~ and so Dean's card was on the cutting board, with this fabulous sketch from Linda ~ thanks so much for a great sketch to follow!
So here is my darling husbands birthday card....hmmm....love you so much Dean! Hope you like it ~ I'm sure we'll have a good laugh over this one!
Found the ribbon idea on LeAnne's blog, what a super cool idea, LeAnne is amazing, I've been following her for quite awhile and she always inspires me...pay her a visit...I guarantee, you'll be back for more of her creativity :-)
Thanks SO much for popping by for a visit, I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy your weekend...happy stampin'!
