Friday Mashup Meets PPA!

I needed a birthday card for my brother's 50th birthday and I love playing along with challenges which also gives me a starting point! So a hunting we did go!...and here are the two challenges that worked SO well for me ~ thanks so much for the inspiration and a great place to begin!
The first challenge I found was the Friday Mashup ~ and their challenge was any past challenge which was great, so here is where I began!

Perfect for a Manly birthday card for my brother!!! Now, can I find a color challenge that I like to go along with the idea that was brewing in my mind...and here is what I found at the PPA154 ~

my attempt was to use the Raspberry Ripple and Calypso Coral to give my truck an old rusty feel, I'm pleased with the outcome! I haven't used my blender pens in quite awhile and really enjoyed playing with them! Dave, I hope you like your card ~ I sure do!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today ~ I hope you have a blessed day, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Enjoy this day :-)

If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a party I would love to come and stamp with you and your friends!! Or, if space is an issue, come here and create with me at one of my many clubs or classes! Drop me a line for further info! I'd love to meet you! Enjoy your day! Please pop in on http://www.chezmoicreations2.blogspot.com ...you'll find a link to some knitting that I've created. Drop me a line if you have any questions!

  6. Wow wonderful masculine card and great job at making these colours work here. I love the background you created and the crimped strip. The punched gears are the perfect embellishments for this card. Your brother will love his card.
